A schoolboy was killed and his mother injured as a covered van hit their easy bike in Kagojpukur area in Benapole on Wednesday night.
The deceased was Hadiuzzaman, son of Saiful Islam of the same area. Police said the accident ccurred when a goods-laden covered van hit an easy bike in the area at about 11 pm, leaving the two bike passengers injured. They were sent to Jessore general hospital where Hadiuzzaman succumbed to his injuries.
