Bam Morcha announces road march

Ganatantrik Bam Morcha here yesterday announced a road march from October 16-18 with their 12-point demands, including saving the Sundarbans, reports UNB.
Prior to the road-march programme, the alliance of the left-leaning parties will arrange a national convention in the capital.
Ganatantrik Bam Morcha convener Saiful Haque came up with the announcement at a press conference at Nirmal Sen conference hall in capital’s Topkhana Road.
The demands of the alliance include ending political misrule; ensuring democratic rights and democratic environment; arranging acceptable election; stopping extra judicial killing and state sponsored terrorism; preventing price hike of essentials and ensuring fare price of agricultural produces; ensuring livable wage for working class people; arranging employment for the unemployed; canceling the coal-fired Rampal power plant; and ensuring equality based share of the Teesta River water.
Other leaders of the platform, including Abdus Sattar, Abdus Salam, Moshrefa Mishu and Subhrangshu Chakrabortty, were present at the press conference.
