‘Arpita’ introduces child artiste Sparsho

‘Arpita’, a new film by Shahriar Nazim Joy is set to inject a breath of fresh air in the movies through introducing child artiste Sparsho Kibria, bringing an end to the long absence of child artistes in our cinemas.
Student of Class-I at an English medium school, Sparsho has developed a taste for working in the media through an ad-film. To make things smoother, her father Swapan Kibria had directed the ad-film for a tourism company.
Sparsho was an immediate pick for film maker Shariar Nazim Joy once he came across the child artiste’s ad-film. Weighing her talent, joy decided to introduce her in films, an area hungry for the arrival of a child actor.
Joy said he retained the name of the child artiste in the movie as well, and the plot of the movie revolves around the life struggle of Sparsho and her mother Arpita. Chanda is the protagonist in the movie playing the role of Arpita.
“I am very delighted to work in this film and I want to be a big artiste someday,” a delighted Sparsho said.
Her father Swapan Kibria shares her dream too. Shariar Joy too is happy as are others in his unit.
It may be mentioned that Joy himself has written the story, dialogues and the script for Arpita, his maiden film.
Besides Chanda and Sparsho, the film stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Nazia Huq Arsha and others.l
