Speakers at an opinion exchange workshop yesterday stressed on saving underground water to meet up the demand of the future generations.
The opinion exchange workshop on ‘Draft Bangladesh Water Rules-2016’ of the Bangladesh Water Act-2013, was arranged at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj by Water Resources Planning Organization (WARPO) of the Ministry of Water Resources.
The speakers said we are using a small quantity of water but we are polluting a huge quantity of water.
“We must give highest attention in water distribution and we should also make people aware of the importance of water so that water can be protected” the speaker
added. Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources Dr. Mohammad Ali Khan attended the workshop as the chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Md Mahamudul Hasan in the chair.
Director General of WARPO Md. Sarafat Hossain Khan, joint chief of the Ministry of Water Resources Montu Kumar Biswas, project director of WARPO Engineer Md. Rezaul Karim and director (planning) of WARPO SM Firoj Alam were present as the especial guests.
