CJFB Performance Award conferred

‘16th Uro- CJFB Performance Award’ was conferred to the best performers for the year 2015 in the categories of film, television and music at the Bashundhara International Convention City on Sunday. Cultural Journalists’ Forum of Bangladesh (CJFB), in association with Globe Soft Drinks Ltd, organised the award ceremony.  
This year, noted journalist and editor of Daily Samakal Golam Sarwar was honoured with the lifetime achievement award at the event. Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq handed over the crest to the award recipients as chief guest, while chairman of Globe Soft Drinks Ltd Harunur Rashid and Daily Smakal editor Golam Sarwar were present as special guests.  Chaired by CJFB president Enam Sarkar, its general secretary Tamim Hasan spoke on the occasion.
This year, Arefin Shuvo won the best actor award for the film ‘Chhuye Dile Mon’ and Pori Moni received best actress award for the film ‘Aro Bhalobasbo Tomay’, while the film ‘Agni 2’ earned the best film award. SA Haque Alik won the award of best director for the film ‘Aro Bhalobasbo Tomay’.
Chanchal Chowdhury received the award as best actor (Year Alir Notun Bou) and Bidya Sinha Mim received the best actress award (Chili Chocolate) in the television category, while James and Mim Chowdhury won best model awards and Masud Sezan bagged the best director of Small Screen.
Habib Wahid and Kona won the awards for best singer of the year respectively in the male and female category, while Minar Rahman won the best music director award.  
Singer Baby Naznin was presented with a special honour award for her contribution to the Bangladesh’s music industry. During the award ceremony, James, Habib, Baby Naznin, Hridoy Khan, Minar, Nusrat Faria, Pori Moni, Mim, Tanzin Tisha and Safa Kabir,  among others , performed at the star-studded programme.
