Today is the birthday of National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo. Though Mamo will have to take part in the shooting today, she will spend the rest of the time of her special day with her beloved mother. Mamo said on the occasion of her birthday, “Giving birth to me, my mom became a mother on this day. So, despite of my extremely busy schedule, I will definitely meet my mother today at any cost. I want to spend some peaceful time putting my head on her lap. To tell the truth, what I am today that has become possible for my mother’s contribution. Whenever I think of my today’s existence, I always see my mother’s smiling face before my eyes. I want to tell my mother that I love you a lot.” Mamo spent her childhood in Brahmanbaria. In her childhood days, Mamo’s father used to bring birthday cake purchasing from Dhaka’s Hotel Purbani and they cut that cake in a festive manner. According to Mamo, her childhood days were really amazing. Now in her adulthood, she always misses those great moments intensely.”
Mamo, who completed her master’s degree in Drama and Dramatics from Jahangirnagar University securing first class first position, prefers to introduce herself as an actress. She made her film debut with ‘Daruchini Dwip’ and also won the National Award for this film.
However, Mamo has yesterday completed the shooting of a tele-drama titled ‘Pen Friend’ directed by Sahel Sumon. On the other hand, she is currently working in an upcoming film ‘Swapnabari’ under the direction of Tanim Rahman Aungshu.
