A Chinese citizen was reportedly beaten to death by assilants at Upashahar in Jessore town yesterday, UNB reports. The deceased was identified as Chang Hing Sang, 45, a human hauler dealer in the town. He lived at a rented apartment of Farida Villa located in front of Upashahar Mahila Degree College in the town. Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station Sheikh Elias Hossain said two of Sang’s employees, Pervez and Mustafiz, informed the police in the morning that Sang went missing. Police detained the duo on suspicion in this connection. Later, based on the information gleaned from the arrestees during the primary interrogation, police recovered the body of Chang from his apartment around 8.30am. The body was sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The OC added that Chang might have been beaten to death.
