The two-day 11th Confucius Institute Conference was wrapped up at Kunming Dianchi International Exhibition and Convention Center, Yunnan Province on December 11.  2,200 plus delegates from 140 countries and regions worldwide attended  the conference.

With the theme of “innovation, cooperation, inclusion and sharing”, 14 forums for university presidents and Confucius Institutes directors were held to exchange views, with other cultural events and exhibitions showcasing Chinese teaching materials and creative works at Confucius Institutes, and Yunnan intangible cultural heritages.

Up to now, 511 Confucius Institutes and 1,073 Confucius Classrooms have been set up in 140 countries and regions, with the number of teachers working in the institute reaching 46,000.

In terms of Yunnan, the 11th Confucius Institute Conference brings about an opportunity for Yunnan to exchange and cooperate with the international community, and will make Yunnan better known to the world.

During two days, hundreds of volunteers from Yunnan University, Kunming University of Science and Technology and Yunnan Normal University provided excellent service for the conference.
