Sajeda scored four goals as Mymensingh district outplayed Rangpur by 6-0 in the final of the JFA Cup Under-14Women’s National Football Tournament.
Held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, in the almost one-sided match girls from Mymensingh led the first half of 70 minutes game by 3-0 to confirm the title.
It was the hattrick championship for the Mymensingh district when they won the previous two editions of the Under-14 national championship.
Sajeda, who scored 12 goals in the competition to win the highest scorer’s trophy, struck four goals in the final to steer the team to easy victory.
Sajeda initiated the scoring on the very sixth minute and doubled her and team’s tally four minutes later and added another two on 42nd and 64th minute while Rozina and Shamsunnahr joined in the celebration with one goal each.
The excited captain Sajeda in her post match reaction said, “We did our practice regularly. There is no option but to practice regularly.”
Sajeda, who was one of the member of the champions Bangladesh team in the AFC Cup Under-24 Championship team, said , “I want to play in the national team when her predecessors of the Kalasindhur School are also representing the national team.
The champions Mymensingh team awarded with taka 50,000 while runners up Rangpur district were given taka 25,000.
Coach Mokbul Hossain said that he is always looking after these girls. Mokbul is very happy with the sincerity of the girls.
