Man found dead in Jessore
OUR CORRESPONDENT, Jessore

The body of a construction worker was recovered at Koraitola in Chowgacha upazila in the district yesterday noon. The deceased was identified as Hossain Ali, 50, of South Koyerpara Village.
Hossain Ali’s wife Hasina Begum said being informed by the locals, police recovered the body of Ali from a mahogany garden with his hands and legs tied-up.
Later, they sent the body to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Moshiur Rahman, officer in charge of Chowgacha police station, said the body bore some injury marks.
A case was filed in this connection.
2 killed in Tangail road accidents
TANGAIL: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Kalihati upazila of the district, reports BSS.
An unidentified man was killed as a bus ran over him on the Tangail- Mymensingh highway in Dhanail bridge area under Kalihati upazila of the district yesterday morning. Police said the accident occurred when a bus ran over the man, aged about 45, in the area around 7 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
In another accident Shamsul Rahman, 17, son of Saifur Rahman, resident of Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur district, died on the spot as a bus hit him at Alenga of the upazila last night.

Youth stabbed to death

An alleged drug addict stabbed a teenage boy to death and injured his father at Gayerpur in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.  The deceased was identified as M Sayed, 18, son of Abul Khayer, of the area.
Sayed’s father said Mizan, son of the house owner Abdus Sattar, along with his associates stabbed his son with sharp weapons at around 8pm on Tuesday as Sayed protested their anti-social act. He also came under attack as he tried to save the life of his son. Sayed succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Wednesday.
Ilias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said a case was filed in this connection. Abul Khayer is undergoing treatment at Jessore General Hospital.
2 killed over land dispute
OUR CORRESPONDENT, Tangail

Two people including a housewife were killed over land dispute at Nagorpur in Tangail on Wednesday night.
The deceased were Hazrat Ali, 60 and Saju Begum, 25 of village Khashahjani in Nagorpur upazila of Tangail district.
Quoting villagers Zohurul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nagorpur police station said Hazrat Ali and his younger brother Solaiman locked in a quarrel over land dispute on Wednesday night. Saju Begum tried to calm them down. At this, Hazrat Ali, the elder brother out of fury hurt Saju Begum with a bamboo stick. She died on the spot. Solaiman also hit him with a bamboo stick. Hazrat Ali also died on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent to Tangail Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection. The killer brother escaped the scene.
