Bangladesh top-order batsman Soumya Sarkar said that they will try to make their habituation with the condition of Autralia-New Zealand so that they could play better cricket staying longer period on wickets.
“We have to understand the condition first and then shift our focus to stay on wickets as much as possible,” said Soumya Sarkar, who made 135 runs from 12 matches with the best of 26 in BPL.
“If we could make our habituation on that wickets and conditions properly, then it will be helpful for us to do well in that condition,” Sarkar told reporters before leaving Mirpur for Sydney, Australia.
Fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Soumya Sarkar and others are going with the first batch of Bangladesh in Sydney, Australia for the 10-day conditioning camp before heading into New Zealand.
Soumya had done well for Bangladesh in the last World Cup Down Under. Since then, he remained in the team. The right-handed batsman, who has been passing a patchy form since a longer period, said that he will try to make him confident by doing well.
“When I get down in the field my target remains to play better for the team. Moreover, if I could do well then my confidence will be increased. I will try my level best to do well and make me confident,” the 23-year-old said.
“It will be better for me if I could do bat for a longer time,” the right-handed batsman also said.  
On the other hand, pacer Taskin Ahmed said that he is focusing only on the next tours
of Australia-New Zealand after the end of the BPL-4. “We are now going to Australia-New Zealand so we are thinking about it. Our thinking will be centered on New Zealand how we can do fare well there,” said Taskin Ahmed, who scalped 15 wickets off 11 matches for Chittagong Vikings.
“We all will try to dovetail in that different condition as much as possible so that we could do well. I have an expectation to win for Bangladesh by doing a special spell,” Ahmed told newsmen.
Expressing deep concern over losing some senior players, the paceman said that those who are in the team have to take responsibility for the team in place of them.
“It’s a very unhappy thing that our best seamers have been injured. But those who we are in the team have to take the responsibility now,” he said, adding “Actually those who play for the team always take responsibility. All seek to perform well. So, those, who all play better in BPL try to maintain it there.”
Fast bowler Kamrul Islam Rabbi, who has been included at the  last moment in place of Shafiul Islam, said that he will try to capitalise the chance to contribute for the team’s success.
“I played so many matches in Australian condition for Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team. So, I have though a bit idea about the condition,” said Kamrul Islam, who captured seven wickets off eight matches for Barisal Bulls.
