Two women were killed and two people injured as a private car ran over them in High Court Mazar area of the capital early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Marjina, 35, and Hasina, 45.
Abu Bakar Siddiqi, officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station, said the accident took place as the driver of the private car hit four people including Marjina and Hasina while they were sleeping on the island of the road in the area around 12.45am, leaving them injured. The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared them death.
