The government has transferred Senior Secretary of Home Ministry Dr. Mozammel Haque Khan as senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. The public administration ministry yesterday issued a gazette notification in this regard. Dr Khan replaced Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, who was posted as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister recently. Sources said the public administration ministry has prepared a proposal to transfer at least four secretaries to different ministries and divisions and it was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Sunday seeking approval of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The proposal, however, was not approved till yesterday.
After transferring Dr. Mozammel to public administration ministry as its senior secretary yesterday, the post of the ministry has fallen vacant. Sources said, a number of secretaries are likely to be transferred to different ministries and divisions this week.
