Kevin James comes back to the limelight with the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. The first movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop was a smash hit in the box office that ultimately inspired to make the sequel. The film is directed by Andy Fickman and starts Kevin James, Neal McDonough, Daniella Alonso, David Henrie, Raini Rodriguez and Loni Love into the main roles. The script is co-written by Nick Bakay and Kevin James.
The plot of the movie is different from the previous movie. New location and new characters are introduced. Spoiler alert: Paul Blart the mall cop along with his daughter goes to Vegas to participate in a convention, but like any good cop he just can’t stop fighting crime, not even while he is in vacation. The movie is full of hilarious scenes from the beginning of the movie till the end credit. No where the movie slows down and it keeps one laughing and guessing the whole 94 minutes of its running time. The movie proved to be a blockbuster in the box office as the budget of the movie is $30 million and so far it has earned over $102.6 million.
Kevin James started out as a comedian in 1989, than in 1991 he started working in television but it wasn’t up until 2005 when he made his first movie appearance with the hit film Hitch. Within a short span of time he made a niche for himself among the best comedy actors of Hollywood, although he only had a few movies where he started as the lead. His friendship with Adam Sandler helped him along the way as he became regular in some of Adam Sandler movies. Adam Sandler, one of the superstars of comedy, is one of the producers of this movie as well. Kevin James is going strength to strength. His performance was brilliant in the movie. It was more of a one man show but other actors chipped in exceptionally well with their noteworthy performances. For Kevin James fans and movie buffs who love action comedy films, it’s a must watch.
