An ‘Iftar Mahfil’, organised by students of the Department of Law, Dhaka International University (DIU), was recently held at the cafeteria of its Green Road campus. Dr. Shahidul Quader Patwari, chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU, presided over the event, while Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees, addressed the mahfil as chief guest. Among others, faculty members of Department of law and officials of DIU were present at the mahfil .
Dr. S Q Patwari and Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary greeted the guests and students. Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary encouraged the students to involve with creative activities for the betterment of the nation. At this time he focused on law department’s future activities. At the end he emphasized on the significance of Ramzan in their speech. The iftar mahfil ended with recitation from the Holy Quran. A special prayer was offered for the development of the university, the welfare and peace of the country and nation.
