A woman was killed allegedly by her husband over a family feud at Kurulgasi village in Damurhuda upazila early yesterday.The deceased was identified as Asera Khatun, 38, wife of Sirajul Islam, a resident of the village.
Officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Model Police Station Jihad Fakhrul Alam Khan said Asera and Sirajul locked in an altercation following a family feud around 12.30am. At one stage, Sirajul beat up Asera mercilessly, leaving her dead on the spot. Later, local people found the body of Asera lying in the room yesterday morning and informed police.Police recovered the body and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Local people also caught Sirajul from his house and handed him over to police.A case was filed in this connection.
