Hefazat-e-Islami will stage a demonstration in front of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka after juma prayer on Friday to protest against the killings and oppression unleashed on the Rohingya Muslims in the Rakhine State of Myanmar. Dhaka City unit of qaomi madrasha based organisaion took the decision at an emergency meeting at Lalbagh Madrasha with senior vice president Maulana Abdul Hamid, pir of Madhupur, in the chair. Hefazat-e-Islami will also bring out a procession following the rally, said a press release. Speaking at the meeting, Hefazat leaders expressed their deep concern over the genocide in Myanmar – the killing of innocent Muslims including children and women – that is hurting the feelings of the world Muslims.
