Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday said talented and meritorious persons should join politics to raise its standard. He said this while inaugurating the “ICT Career Camp 2016” at Haji Idris auditorium of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). The minister said Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has been making silent revolution in the field of information and communication technology. He called upon the party leaders and workers and common people to remain alert as communal extremism has increased in the country and the extremists can launch any incident in anytime.
The Awami League general secretary urged the students to be prepared to lead the country in future along with their regular studies.
“Drug addiction destroys the young generation gradually. So, strong social campaign should be waged against drug abuse,” he said.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Lawmaker of Noakhali-2 constituency Morshed Alam, Lawmaker of Noakhali-6 constituency Ayesha Ferdous, district AL President Principal Khairul Anam Selim and Deputy Commissioner Badare Munir Ferdous, among others, addressed the function.
