Cattle trader shot dead
by BSF

A Bangladeshi national was allegedly shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Kushkhali border in Sadar upazila of Satkhira early Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Moslem Uddin, 35, son of Johor Ali of Panchroki village in Sadar upazila.
Abu Taher, a brother of the deceased, said the BSF members of Amudia camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders, including Moslem, when they were returning to Bangladesh with cattle in the early hours, leaving him dead on the spot. BGB 38 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Arman Hossain said the BSF members opened fire when the victim was taking cattle near sub-pillar 7 under 11 main pillar in Amudia inside the Indian territory. BGB Subedar Mohammad Ali of Kushkhali BOP said BGB and BSF are taking preparation to hold a flag meeting over the matter. Another cattle trader was detained by BSF from the area, reported UNB.
