People to re-elect AL, hopes PM

The leaders of the newly formed Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) and the members of its advisory council paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at Tungipara in Gopalganj yesterday morning. The new committee members led by AL president and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina placed floral wreaths at the grave of the great leader. A special munajat was also offered seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Bangabandhu. Meanwhile, a joint meeting of ALCWC and AL Advisory Council was held there with party president Sheikh Hasina in the chair. The brief joint meeting that lasted for 15 minutes was adjourned till today. The meeting will re-convene at the premier’s official residence Ganabhaban today at 6pm, said sources.
