This ban will not affect my career: Prosun Azad

Bangladesh Television Programme Producers Association, Directors’ Guild and Abhinoy Shilpi Sangha have jointly imposed a one-year ban on actress Prosun Azad because of her ‘unprofessional conduct’, reports UNB. General secretary of Director’s Guild SA Alik said , “We issued a notice after getting formal complaint from director Rokeya Prachi against Prosun Azad. But without responding, she posted mean and absolutely unacceptable comments about the TV makers.”
SA Alik said “So we had no alternative to taking strict actions against her as she did not respond to our show -cause notice.” Her Facebook post was “My life is interesting. So I cannot get any time to think of making trouble for other life. I feel the situation as village politics. I know about the involvement of many actresses behind this. I salute to all penniless producers, directors. I am here for the competition of Lux Channel i Superstar. I have never casted a single character of their drama. Whatever,  I love myself.” Prosun Azad said she did not want to work with the Director’s Guild. So she has no headache about the ban.
She added “This decision will not affect my career as I am a freelance artiste. Audiences love me. I have respect and confidence in myself, so I can speak against them.”
She further added that this ban is not an issue for her. “I have already said that Directors’ Guild has no contribution for building my position in media. So their decision cannot be a matter of respect or disrespect.”
The clash between the actress and director Rokeya Prachi took place at the shooting set of  ‘Shopno Shotti Hote Pare’ on October 18. The director complained against her on  October 19 to the organisations. After that the three organisations issued a show -cause notice to Prosun Azad. But she failed to respond which was accusing her of posting an ‘obscene and objectionable’ status on her Facebook account.
