Man slaughters wife in Bangshal

A man allegedly slaughtered his wife in the city’s Bangshal yesterday afternoon. The victim was identified as Urmi, 25, wife of Asgar Ali, reports UNB. Police quoting local people said the couple along with their 3-year-old son had been residing at a rented flat of a multi-storied building at Suritula in Bangshal. Being informed, a team of Bangshal thana police went to the flat and recovered the slaughtered body of Urmi from inside a toilet of the flat at around 6:45 pm. Contacted, Officer-in-Charge of Bangshal police station Nur-e-Alam said Urmi might have slaughtered allegedly by her husband Asgar between 4:00pm-5:00 pm. “We already arrested Asgar from the spot,” the OC said adding the reason behind the killing could not be ascertained immediately.
