‘Sankhachil’ to take part in Int’l Film Festival of India

Celebrated filmmaker Gautam Ghosh-directed Indo-Bangla joint venture ‘Sankhachil’, starring popular Bangladeshi actress Kusum Sikder and prominent Indian film actor Prosenjit, is going to take part in the 47th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa, India. The film has been selected for the Indian Panorama section in this eight-day event, which will take place from November 20 to 28.
The film has been produced by Bangladesh’s Impress Telefilm Ltd and Ashirbad Cholochitro from India. The story of the film revolves around the border tragedy about a couple and their ailing daughter. The film has been produced based on the different stories of border incident. The film was shot in Taki-international border between India and Bangladesh. In the film, Prosenjit and Kusum Sikder are playing the lead roles. The other most important casts of the film include Bangladeshi actors Mamunur Rashid, Rosy Siddiqui, Prabir Mitra and Anum Rahman Khan.
Indian Panorama 2016 announces its final selection of Feature & Non-Feature films to be screened in Goa at 47th IFFI. The Jury of Feature Films, headed by well-known director and producer Shri Rajendra Singh Babu, has selected 22 films out of 230 eligible entries. The 13 Members Jury took a month to finalize the selections. Besides ‘Sankhachil’, Salman Khan acted ‘Sultan’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed ‘Bajirao Mastani’, Akshay Kumar-acted ‘Airlift’  and Indian National Film Award-winning film ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ will be screened in the Indian Panorama section of IFFI.
