ICT Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Sajeeb Wazed Joy yesterday lauded the Center for Research and Information (CRI), the research wing of the party, for carrying out a number of activities to disseminate the historic struggle of Awami League and to spread the development activities took place in the country, reports UNB. "It is important for us to provide the party activists and leaders from grass root level with adequate information on the history of the party alongside the development works of the government needs to be disseminated," he made the comments while visiting the stalls set up at the conference venue by CRI.
Targeting the council, CRI also took up the responsibility for ensuring round the clock live coverage of the first day of the council on the verified facebook page of Bangladesh Awami League. As a result, over 7 lakh people, from home and abroad, were engaged with the council for the first time.
On his engagement with the politics, he said that "I will work to promote and strengthen the party and to take the country forward."
In the last seven days till Saturday, the traffic of the facebook page was over 1 crore. Banners, posters and special reports featuring the national developments took place under the present government, history of the party and the struggle of the party leader Sheikh Hasina were shared.
CRI set up installations at the venue which drew an overwhelming response from the participants at the council. The installations include- "Bangabandhu and Sheikh Hasina"- Sheikh Hasina's movement for peoples right for vote and food (1981 to 1996), Bangabandhu in photos, Speech of 7th March and Journey of Bangladesh Awami League (1949-2008). Executive Director of CRI Sabbir Bin Shames along with Assistant Coordinator Tanmoy Ahmed and other officials handed over a set of publications to Sajeeb Wazed Joy during the visit.
