Lustrous model-actress Suzena Zafar, who is an epitome of beauty with brains, has always been very choosy about working in the showbiz. As a result, most of her work, may it be a tele-drama, telefilm or television commercial (TVC), were successful and she earned immense appreciation for her effort.
Suzena has modelled in two new TVCs recently. DhakaLive’s Nazir Hossain has revealed more about her new TVCs and recent works through an interview. Excerpts follow:
You have worked in two new TVCs recently. Please tell us about those.
Suzena: Yes, I have modelled in two new TVCs directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury. One of the TVCs has been made for soybean oil and other one is for Mobil engine oil. The shooting of the TVC took place in the capital’s Coke Studio and Savar’s BKSP between October 17 and 19.
Who was your co-artiste in the TVCs? What is the concept of the work?
Suzena: Director-actor Ashfaque Nipun was my co-artiste in the TVC of soybean oil. We have played as a newlywed sweet couple based on a romantic concept. An adoring story has been portrayed here through the light moments enjoyed by the husband and wife.
What is your feeling after working in the TVC?
Suzena: I earlier did numerous works with Amitabh Reza. This time around, I have worked with him after so many days and it was really a wonderful experience for me to be part of the work. Moreover, my co-artiste Ashfaque Nipun is also very happy with the work. Getting someone very suitable as a co-artiste by your side, it makes your work easier and fantastic. Together we have done the work in a wonderful manner. And Amitabh Reza’s project means something always very special; nothing new can be said about his works. am really excited with these two TVCs.
Have you watched Amitabh Reza’s film ‘Aynabaji’? What did you feel after watching it?
Suzena: Yes, I enjoyed his ‘Aynabaji’. It was certainly a brilliant film. Even after watching it, I told Amitabh Reza and even shared my thoughts in other interviews that I was never interested or had no desire to work in film. But any opportunity comes along with the offer of working in a film like this; I will definitely act in that film. The characteristics of ‘Aynabaji’ fit as it should be with my ‘wanted film’, which would be an entirely different type of film like this one.
Are you going to work in any new tele-dramas in coming days?
Suzena: I am going to work in two new tele-dramas and the shooting will kick off from October 27. The directors for these two ventures are Aryan and Rubaiyat Mahmud respectively. Two popular faces from the new generation artistes will be playing opposite me in these TV plays.
