Police recovered the body of a woman from a rented house at Natun Courtpara area in Jhenidah on Friday night.
Police said the deceased -- Mina Begum, 45, of Chougachha upazila --  had been living with her husband Mizanur Rahman and son Al Amin in the past few months. On Friday noon, her husband left the house for his village home, while son Al Amin went to say Jumma prayers.
After the prayer, when Al Amin returned home he found the door locked from  outside. He was waiting there thinking that his father would come back from village home and open the door.
It was until 8.30pm when his father did not return Al Amin broke open the door and found his mother lying dead on the floor, locals and police said.
