‘Sanjhbelar Bilap’ (Delirium of Twilight), a production by Theatre and Performance Studies Department of Dhaka University based on the Bangla translation of Jean Racine's French classical play ‘Phaedra’ by Asit Kumer, will represent Bangladesh by staging the play in the Asia Pacific Theatre Festival 2016 in New Delhi, India. The weeklong festival has been scheduled to take place from October 19 to 25. The play has been directed by Professor Israfil Shaheen of Dhaka University. On the other hand, the different characters in the play include a group of MA final semester students from the Theatre and Performance Studies Department. The student performers are Md Elius, Afrin Huda, Esthiak Khan Pathan, Dhiman Chandra Barman, ASM. Golam Nasir, Shawgatul Islam Himel and ASM Ali Imam.
Shahman Moishan has done the dramaturge, narratives and lyrics for the play, while Sydur Rahman Lipon, Kazi Tamanna Haque Sigma, Amit Chowdhury have lent their voices to choral songs and crowd besides all students-performers of the production. Besides, Wahida Mollick, Ashiq Rahman Leeon and Kazi Tamanna Haque Sigma have designed the costume. Ashiq Rahman Leeon has designed set, light and props, while Rahmat Ali is in make-up. The music of the production has been composed by Sydur Rahman Lipon and Kazi Tamanna Haque Sigma.
