‘Aynabaji’ screening on opening night today

Celebrated director Amitabh Reza Choudhury’s debut big screen venture ‘Aynabaji’, which went on to become the biggest hit film in the recent years, will be screening on the opening night of the 11th edition of Seattle South Film Festival 2016 in the United States on October 14. The festival will continue till October 23.  
DhakaLive has news that actor Chanchal Chowdhury, who played as the protagonist in the film, has left the country on October 7 to attend the festival in the United States. He informed that his film ‘Aynabaji’ will be screened on the opening night of the festival on October 14 at the Seattle Art Museum. He alone is joining the event to represent the film. He said, “The film ‘Aynabaji’ belongs to my heart and I am feeling really wonderful to be here to represent a film like this. I hope that like Bangladesh, the audience here will also accept the film.”
Chanchal Chowdhury will return to Bangladesh on October 20 after participating in the festival, he informed. Before ‘Aynabaji’, Chanchal Chowdhury also earned huge appreciation for the brilliant appearance in his earlier films ‘Monpura’, ‘Moner Manush’ and ‘Television’.
To note, ‘Aynabaji’ is the first film directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, in which Chanchal Chowdhury has played in the main character. Besides the director, actress Nabila and singer-turned-actor Partha Barua made their film debut through the film. The film saw its release on October 7 and going house-full shows for consecutive second week. Produced by Content Matters, the film also includes popular actors Lutfor Rahman George, Hera Chowdhury, Shawkat Osman, Brindaban Das, Gousul Alam Shaon and Iffat Trisha, among others in the different roles.
