Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif yesterday said there is no room for militancy, terrorism and evil activities, in the name of religion, on the soil of Bangladesh, reports BSS. “No militant and terrorist will find any room in the country as the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government already has been stamping out them from the Bangladesh,” the minister said this while visiting the puja mandap at Ishwardi in Pabna district.
Sherif said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman tried to build a non-communal Bangladesh with coexistence of all religious people, but the defeated forces of 1971 have been hatching conspiracy to pull the country into communalism for several times.
“But, the daughter of Bangabandhu Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina saved the country from the hand of those conspirators, he added.
