The first season of ‘Fair & Lovely Men Channel i Hero, powered by Bangladesh Army’, concluded on Saturday evening with its grand finale when the winner was finally announced. After weeks of intense competition, challenges, hard work and determination from the competitors, it came down five contestants who competed against one another on Saturday. The finalists were Badhon, Neil, Tanmoy, Pushon and Sojib. After yet a series of competitions, Badhan was announced as the winner of ‘Fair & Lovely Men Channel i Hero, powered by Bangladesh Army 2016.’
After being announced the winner, Badhan was signed for the movie ‘Nokkhotrer Raat’, which will be directed by Meher Afroz Shaon. The story, written by the late great Humayun Ahmed, will be produced by Impress Telefilm and presented by Fair & Lovely. The new standard hero also won a brand new car and one lakh taka cheque. Pushan and Tanmay were announced first and second runners up of the program, winning 2 lakh taka and 1 lakh taka cheques respectively.
The main judges of the programme were superstars Riaz Ahmed and Tania Ahmed. Also, actors Alamgir along with Ferdous, Nobel, Mahiya Mahi, Tarin and director Gazi Shubhro appeared as judges in different episodes.
The competition began on June 29 with the selection of the top 20 contestants from thousands of applicants from all over the country. After the third round, the top 15 were selected. These 15 contestants fulfilled various tasks through many episodes under the supervision of Bangladesh Army. It was a gruelling yet fulfilling experience for all the boys. The top 10 scorers from these 15 were then given various challenges to prove their mettle through dancing, action, acting, ramp modelling, photo shoots and TV commercials. Then it came down to the top five in the grand finale who competed amongst themselves last evening.
The closing ceremony saw a solo performance by Mehazabien, song by Avoid Rafa and dance performance by Mahiya Mahi and Bappi. Folk queen Momtaz performed her latest sensation ‘Local Bus’.  The event finished with the announcement of the winner of the program in the presence of high officials from Unilever Bangladesh, Channel i and Bangladesh Army.
