Certification ceremony of Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital (CMOSH) held

The Nursing Bridge Program of A K Khan Healthcare Trust has celebrated successfully its “Certification Ceremony” for the 7th batch of the nurses of Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital with a press briefing in the city of Chattagram on October 5, 2016.

The program has been presided over by Prof. A S M Fazlul Karim, President, Executive Committee of Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital. On the grand occasion Dr. Anjuman Ara Islam, General Secretary, Executive Committee of Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital, delivered her wonderful speech as a special guest that reflects the history of nursing care at CMOSH. Ms. Samanzar Shama Khan the CEO of A K Khan Healthcare Trust was the chief guest of the grand occasion.

The Principal of Nursing Institute, and Medical college of CMOSH, the matron, the directors of the hospital, Shabnam Sultana Nina, The Project Head of A K Khan Healthcare Trust, were present.

The nurses enrolled in Nursing Bridge Program, along with other nurses of Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital and the other officials were present in the ceremony.
Soon these two parties are going to implement few more initiatives to continue the sisterhood forever.

The Nursing Bridge Program started its journey at CMOSH during the outset of 2011 just after the birth of her in 2010, The first endeavor was the 18 nurses of BIRDEM Hospital. In spite of ample obstacles, throughout the year, eventually, the bridge program has been able to demonstrate its triumph representing the skilled nurses at the end of the year, who are trumpeting their success over Modern Nursing and English Speaking course. The nurses, who have received the training of Nursing Bridge Program, could comprehend the need for Continuous Education in terms of global demand for expert nurses.

A historical landmark achieved with the introduction of first Bone-Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit by Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) during the month of March in 2014. In partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Dhaka Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) and A K Khan Healthcare Trust (AKKHT) has launched Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Nursing and Solid Oncology Nursing Training program in Dhaka Medical College & Hospital with 46 Nurses.  

Nursing has now become a very viable career option because of the global shortage. This Program has brought good luck for the nurses to build them up effectively in the paradigm of western nurses to catch up the rising demand. The graduate nurses of Bridge Program have now apprehended the absolute need of continuous education.
