Veteran actress-producer Suchanda, about two years ago, made an announcement that she will be directing a documentary on her own life as well as the lives of her siblings, National Film Award winning actresses Babita and Champa. With the name ‘Teen Konya’, Suchanda spent a considerable amount of time behind the script. In addition, she was also busy with other works. Unfortunately, she also fell ill. That is why the work of the documentary fell behind and was delayed. However, now, Suchanda is well prepared and DhakaLive has news that the work for ‘Teen Konya’ will begin next year.
Suchanda said, “It was a dream of our father to see us three sisters in the same frame of a film. With late artiste Shibly Sadik, I fulfilled my father’s wishes through the film ‘Teen Konya’, even though my father was not around to see it. Ever since directing ‘Teen Konya’, it was a wish of mine to make a documentary about the three of us, the three sisters, from our childhood till now, highlighting all the memorable events that shaped our lives, our joy, sorrow, memories, etc. I am now busy with that work. I am hoping that next year, I may be able to begin the work of the documentary.
Regarding Suchanda’s initiative to make a documentary about the three sisters, Babita said, “The fact that she will be making that documentary is of course a matter of great joy, excitement and I am thrilled. I am also eagerly anticipating doing the work for the documentary. I believe that she will do the work with utmost care to make it a great piece and one more of our dreams will come true.”
Champa had similar thoughts, “My two elder sisters, Suchanda and Babita, are my pride. I can proudly say that they are my sisters with my head held high. We are always very grateful to the film industry because the film industry made us what we are today. I wish my sister the very best so that she may complete the work with great success.”
On Saturday, the three sisters participated in the inauguration ceremony of online fashion house ‘S Fashion House’ at a five-star hotel in the capital. The ceremony was inaugurated by Suchanda, Babita inaugurated the website of the fashion house and Champa was the showstopper for the fashion show. l
