Sherpur: A police constable was found dead in Bataraghat area adjacent to district Police Lines yesterday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Rakibul Hasan Rakib, who was posted at the Police Lines eight months ago and son of Shajahan Miah, a resident of Delduar upazila in Tangail district.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Nazrul Islam said informed by locals, police recovered the body of Rakib from the area in the morning.
The body bore several marks of stabbing.
