Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said Bangladesh is rapidly becoming a leader of nations and a forerunner in demonstrating the strength and strategies needed to the less developed countries on how to lead a nation to the progress. The Indian president said this while speaking to Muhammad Musa, former secretary of Bangladesh government and secretary general of BCS freedom fighter and Mu­jibnagar officers and Employees Association of Bangladesh, at Rashtrapati Bhaban in New Delhi, during a visit.
“Bangladesh has succeeded most expectations worldwide and triumphantly gone well beyond the development indicators as determined by the United Nations. Bangladesh now evolved into a model nation of great character that will generate enormous inspiration to less developed countries,” he said.
The president also said that the country is moving towards such progress with the inspiration of the spirit of Liberation War under the patriotic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
