The registration process will continue round the clock till midnight on October 25 next, including the holidays, the university officials told BSS here on Thursday. The admission tests for some 1,200 seats in all 21 departments under the six faculties will be held at different venues in the city from November 13 to 17 next.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Central Admission Committee of the university on Tuesday afternoon with its Convener and Vice-chancellor of BRUR Professor Dr AKM Nurun Nabi in the chair. The meeting also decided to launch a 0.5 per cent quota (one in every 200 seats) for the admission seeker students, inhabitants of the former enclaves, for admission in the university from the 20116-17 academic sessions.
Talking to BSS regarding the newly launched quota, the VC said that inhabitants of the former enclaves remained deprived of all facilities, including education, of the civilised modern society for their developments for a long time.
