Members of Border Guard Bangladesh held ten Bangladeshi nationals from Char Ashariyadah in the border area of Godagari upazila early yesterday while they were returning from India after serving jail, reports UNB.
The arrestees hailed from different areas of Rajshahi, Joypurhat, Panchagarh, Thakurgoan, Manikganj, Bagerhat and Chittagong districts. Nayek Rafiqul Islam of BGB-37 battalion confirmed the arrest of the ten Bangladeshi nationals around 2am. They were returning after serving jail for entering India illegally. The BGB subsequently handed them over to Godagari police station, said Officer-in-Charge of the police station S M Farhad.
