Comilla: A local activist of Juba League, youth front of ruling Awami league, was killed receiving a hit while trying to quell a quarrel between two groups at Kashoi Bazar in Monoharganj upazila of the district on Wednesday night, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Hitu Mia, 32, general secretary of no one ward unit Juba League and son of Abdur Rahim of the village. Samsuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Monoharganj Police Station, said two groups of villagers locked in a quarrel over previous enmity at Kashoi Bazar in Monoharganj upazila  in the evening. As Hitu moved to quell the feud, he received a hit of a sharp weapon to his hand unexpectedly and was injured severely.
Later, local people rushed him to Laksham Upazila Health Complex where attending doctors declared him dead around 11:30 pm.
