Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has asked the owners of the garments factories and tanneries to pay salary and bonus to their workers before September 10 so the workers can celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha without any hassle. He asked this at a meeting of law and order on Eid-ul-Azha, held at the home ministry yesterday. The minister also advised the authorities concerned to grant the leave of the workers in alternate phases to avoid traffic jam on the highway, so that the homebound people can reach their destinations smoothly. The home minister informed that the law enforcement agencies will monitor the situation on the highways by establishing 15 watch towers on the Dhaka-Tangail highway to provide public security. He informed that the law enforcement agencies have already been instructed to deploy necessary force at different locations including Baitul Mukarram Mosque and all the 24 markets for sacrificial animals in the capital to avoid any untoward incident.
