Following the establishment of a Kunming-Bali air route——the first of its kind connecting Kunming with Indonesia——Lucky Air recently launched the Kunming-Nanning-Jakarta air route. The flight numbers for the air route are 8L9587 and 8L9588. They operate every Thursday, taking off at 6:40am from Kunming, transiting at Nanning airport at 7:50am, taking off again at 10:05am and arriving in Jakarta at 1:55pm. The plane then departs for a return flight from Jakarta at 2:55pm, arriving in Nanning at 8:45pm, takes off again at 11:50 pm, reaching Kunming at 1:10 am.

Also, starting October 30, China Eastern Airlines Yunnan Co., Ltd. will increase flights linking Kunming with Thailand’s Chiang Mai, Myanmar’s Mandalay and Laos’ Vientiane. The Kunming-Chiang Mai-Kunming air route, now only offered once per day, will begin to operate two flights a day, while the Kunming-Mandalay-Kunming air route will add new flights every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, bringing the number of flights to eleven per week. The Kunming-Vientiane-Kunming air route, now operating one flight a day, will also begin to operate two flights a day.
