IEEE Industry Application Society (IAS) Chapter of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) along with IEEE IUB Student Branch jointly organised the second Intra-IUB Robotics Competition at the university campus recently, says a press release. Predominant aim of this competition was to face the challenges and solve real-fife problems.
A total number of nine projects were submitted in the competition. Among them, Voice Control Robot through Android smartphone, Rough Terrain Robot for search and rescue, Draw-Bot, IR Controlling Robot, Self Balancing Robot, Obstacle Detecting Robot, Methane Gas Sensing and Alarming Robot had been notable.
Rough Terrain Robot for search and rescue won the championship title while Draw-Bot became the runner-up of the competition. Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan, president of the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) was present as the chief guest in the event and awarded the winning teams. Abdur Razzak, head of the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) officially inaugurated the event and adjudicated the projects.
