Prangonemor to stage ‘Droho Prem Nari’ Aug 31

On the occasion of the death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, theatre troupe Prangonemor will stage its 5th production titled ‘Droho Prem Nari’ at the Experimental Theatre Hall of  Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital’s Segun Bagicha Area on August 31.  Based on Kazi Nazrul Islam’s musical play ‘Aleya’, the play ‘Droho Prem Nari’ has been directed by Ramiz Razu.
In this play, Minketu, the king, appears as an eye-catching man while many women feel attraction towards him, but he never allows them in his heart as he waits for her desired woman. Krishna, Minketu’s Prime Minister, loves him a lot. But Minketu doesn’t feel Krishna in her way. On the other hand, Chandraketu, the commander-in-chief of the army, loves Krishna while she considers him only as a good friend. this is the how, the story goes forward on.
The cast of this play includes Ananta Hira, Nuna Afroz, Shubechcha, Sarwar Alam Saikat, Ister Sumy, Anindra Kishor, Rigyan Sohag Ratna, Bandhu Tuhin and Jainal Abedin Monir.
Nuna Afroz designed the set and costume of this play while Toufiq Azim Robin set the light. Shishir Rahman directed the music.
