Two sisters’
one album
at long last

The first ever duet album of popular singers—Fahmida Nabi and Samina Chowdhury, two glittering stars in the sky of the country’s music scene, was underway since last one year. For extremely busy timetable of two sisters, it was quite tough to complete the album’s work. But lyricist Zulfiqer Russell kept patience with the hope that he would be able to wrap up the work of the first duet album of two sisters.
At long last, the album’s work has been completed this week. DhakaLive has news that a total of eight songs—four songs by each sister—have been featured in the album titled ‘Ek Akasher Gaan’. The songs are tuned by Nachiketa, while Pancham, brother of Fahmida and Samina, has done the music arrangement of the album. As all three siblings are engaged in the same album; considering their joint effort given to the project, the album has got its title as ‘Ek Akasher Gaan’.
Fahmida Nabi said about the album, “Actually, Zulfiqer Russell is the person who dreamt of ‘Ek Akasher Gaan’. Earlier many musicians tried to work with our two sisters to do a duet album. But to be very frank, we remain so much busy that it necessitates taking delivery of the work from us. The album saw its completeness as Zulfiqer Russell had that patience and cordiality. Therefore, we are grateful to him. We have tried to do a few lovable songs for the audience accepting the demand of the time. Hopefully, the audience will like the album.”
Samina Chowdhury said, “Truly speaking, the album is a dream album of our two sisters. The lyric and tune of all the songs have been done wonderfully. Each of the songs seem having a separate story. It’s a great feeling that our brother Pancham is also involved with the first duet album of our two sisters. All over, a sense of love and affection has been created over the album. Many thanks to Zulfiqer Russell.”
The album will be released under the banner of Laser Vision. Managing director of Laser Vision Mazharul Islam said the album will hit the audio market after Eid-ul-Azha. l
