A brand new drama serial titled ‘Astha’ starring audience-admired actress Kusum Sikder has started telecasting from yesterday night. Scripted and directed by Ejaz Munna, the drama serial has been scheduled to air every Saturday and Sunday at 8:15pm on NTV.
Kusum Sikder said about working in the drama serial, “In one word, the story of ‘Astha’ is amazing. Besides, as a director Ejaz Munna is extraordinary. I am overwhelmed to work in such a disciplined unit. I am also very happy to act under the direction of Ejaz Munna. I am confident that the viewers will gain more confidence after watching the drama serial. I am also very hopeful about my character I am playing in the drama serial.” Ejaz Munna said, “What I liked most about Kusum is—having read the script properly, she appears in front of my camera on time with appropriate make-up. This is really praiseworthy.” However, Kusum’s third film ‘Shankhachil’ saw its release in the current year. Directed by Goutam Ghose, celebrated Indian actor Prosenjit Chatterjee acted opposite Kusum in the film. Besides earning huge admiration from the viewers, the film was awarded as Best Bengali film at the 63rd Indian National Film Awards.
