Law enforcers arrested four criminals along with firearms from Comilla and Magura in past two days, reports UNB. In Comilla: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged criminals along with firearms in Sangraish area of the city yesterday. The arrestees were identified as Akter Hossain, 38, and Musa, 28, of the area. Tipped off, a team of RAB-11 conducted a raid on the house of Akter Hossain and recovered one pistol and 17 rounds of bullets from his possession around 8 am, said Major Mostafa Kaizar, commanding officer of Comilla Crime Prevention Company of RAB. Based on the confessional statement of Akter, the elite force raided the house of Musa and arrested him.
In Magura: Police arrested two alleged arms traders from two buses at Keshtopur on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Shalikha upazila on Wednesday. The arrestees were identified as Kuddus Molla, and Alamgir, of Jessore. A team of police conducted a drive in the area and intercepted a Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Shohagh Paribahan’ in the afternoon. Later, the law enforcers arrested Kuddus and recovered one pistol, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from his possession. Following his statement, police halted a Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Hanif Paribahan’ and arrested Alamgir.The law enforcers also recovered two pistols, four magazines and two rounds of bullet from his possession. A case was filed with Shalikha Police Station.
