On August 20, Dai ethnic opera Dao Anren was performed in Beijing. It is one of the programmes staged during the 5^th China's National Ethnic Minority Arts Festival. Dao Anren was once a Dai royally appointed hereditary chieftain in Yingjiang, Dehong, Yunnan. However, he led the Tengyue Uprising which is a part of the Revolution of 1911(the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution) which ended the feudal rule of Qing Dydasity (1644-1911).  (Xinhua News Agency)                                                                                                                                    Photo by  Zhang Chenlin
