The restaurant scene at Uttara is rapidly expanding and introducing new and diverse elements from all over the globe. The new and upcoming eateries are featuring authentic cuisines along with mind blowing fusions. The Mesquite Grill is such a place, specialising in southwestern American cuisines.
During my recent visit to the restaurant, I tried a few new things and the Cajun Pot Roast is something worth writing about.
Pot roast, which is a hugely popular beef dish in the West, is rather a new item in our country, making it a very rare find in Dhaka. Mesquite Grill has done great work with the dish with a twist of Cajun spice _ a mixture of various spices and herbs.
The beef was hot, tender, juicy and moist. This pot roast takes time to cook and the proper seasoning with the Cajun spice is the most important part of the cooking process. The meat was cooked slowly and perfectly. It was served on a bed of rice with sautéed veggies. You can choose one from three sides _ spicy potato wedges, mashed or baked potato.
The interior décor of The Mesquite Grill bears resemblance to southwestern American culture and cookery. A great place for family meals and hangouts.
