Late renowned actor Humayun Faridi-starrer final film, titled ‘Ek Jobaner Zamindar, Here Gelen Eibar’, is set to release tomorrow in 60 cinema halls across the country. Directed by Uttam Akash, the film received its censorship certificate in March this year. The shooting of the film had begun in 2009 and Humayun Faridi completed the shooting and dubbing before he died in 2012. Instead of that, the date of the film’s release was postponed because of the death of its producer Nazim Uddin Chairman.
Assistant director Niranjan Sarker said about the film’s release, “The film has got the censor certificate in March; from that time, we have been prepared to release the film. Finally, we are releasing the film this Friday.”
‘The shooting of the film began in 2009, but due to death of the film’s producer, Nazimuddin Chairman, the remaining work of the film was halted. It resumed in 2011 after a break. That time, Humayun Faridi completed the shooting and dubbing for the film. The film’s release was postponed again after Faridi's death. But earlier this year, we took an initiative to complete the work. We had to convert the film into a digital format from 35mm”, he added.
Humayun Farid has played the title role, which is the role of a Zamindar, in the film. To note, Humayun Faridi was born in 1952 in Narinda. He made his television debut through drama, 'Nil Nakshar Shandaney' in 1982. He was well-known for his extra-ordinary role in the tele-drama ‘Songsaptak’. His other notable tele-dramas are-- Pathar Shomoy, Dui bhai, Shiter Pakhi, Kothao Keu Nei, Shomudre Gangchil and Kachher Manush. He received the National Film Award in 2004 for his role in ‘Matritva’. He died on February 13 in 2012.
