MADARIPUR: Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said the act of terrorism in the name of Islam is totally illegal. Islam never supports militancy and terrorism, reports BSS.
The minister also said Islam is a religion of complete peace and it also never supports chaos, anarchy, militancy, terrorism and betrayal.
Shajahan Khan said this while addressing as the chief guest at second founding ceremony of “Dainik Madaripur Sangbad” at MM Hafij Memorial Library in the district town yesterday morning.
He also said Islam does not support any anti-social activities and none of the Muslims, who believe in Islam, can involve them with such anti-Islamic activities.
The minister called upon all for working unitedly rejecting false and baseless propaganda through creating awareness by disseminating proper knowledge and information among the common people on Islam.
It was addressed, among others, by administrator of Zila Parishad Miajuddin Khan, poura mayor Khalid Hossain, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Safiur Rahman and officer-in-charge of Sadar police station Ziaul Murshed.
