2 Jamaat men held with crude bombs

Police in a drive arrested two leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami along with five crude bombs and some jihadi books from Ichhamoti village in Sadar upazila of Sirajganj yesterday morning, reports UNB. The arrestees were identified as Moidul Alam, 65, son of late Abdus Sobahan, a resident of Itali Purbopara village, and Abdus Salam, 56, son of late Omed Ali, a resident of Jagatgati village of Sadar  upazila. Moidul Alam and Abdus Sobhan are ameers of Sadar upazila and Sialcoat union units of Jamaat. Abdul Barik, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, said informed about a secret meeting, a team of police conducted the drive at the village in the morning and arrested the duo while their associates  managed to flee away. Police also recovered crude bombs and jihadi books from the meeting.
