NARSINGDI: The monthly district law and order committee meeting was held on Wednesday at Deputy Commissioner’s conference room with Deputy Commissioner of the district Abu Hena Morshed Zaman in the chair, reports BSS. The meeting discussed in detail the prevailing law and order situation in the district and also discussed on the recent militant attacks in the country. Speaking in the meeting the Deputy Commissioner said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very conscious to control the law and order in the country.
He said when the country is progressing towards development, a vested quarter is trying to create an unstable situation in the country. He said we must resist the crimes which are being perpetrated in the name of religion against the humanity.
He asked the education officers to increase monitoring on the teachers of madrashas, colleges and schools. He said teachers and guardians should step up their activities to guide the young generation to keep them on the right track.
Mass resistance should be waged against terrorism and militancy. He urged all for united and stay alert against the design of the evil forces involved with such heinous activities.
Police Super Amena Begum BPM, Senior vice president of district Awami League, Mahabubor Rahaman Bhuiyan, Chairman of Narsingdi Sadar upazila Monjur Elahi, Chairman of Raipura upazila Mijanur Rahman Chowdhury, Chairman of Shibpur upazila Ariful Islam Mirdha, Mayor of Madhobdi Pourashava Mosharaf Hossain Manik, Zila Muktijoddha Commander Abdul Motaleb Pathan and President of Narsingdi Press Club Morshed Shahariar addressed.
Police Super Amena Begum said comprehensive efforts of all concerned could create public awareness to launch a social movement involving the common people for resisting the terrorism, militancy, secret killings and conspiracies against the country.
He urged the law enforcement agencies to remain careful about the safety and security of the people and take steps what is necessary.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Rahan Uddin conducted the meeting.
